The Kuleana Project - A Community Farm In Pahoa Beside Highway 130

You might have noticed all the albizia trees and overgrown jungle has been cleared from the Pahoa side of Highway 132 over the last few months. Grassroots Church is starting a community farm with grant assistance from the County of Hawaii Kilauea Recovery grants to the tune of $275,000. Matthew Purvis's is helping lead the Kuleana Project with the goal of supporting job creation, community connections, shared knowledge of agriculture, and furthering sustainable agriculture.
