Video of Fissure 3 this morning on Mauna Loa's NERZ

Amazing how steep the back of the spatter cone is. The cone is located at roughly 11,500ft where lava fountains go up another 141ft, with bursts up to 232ft. The spatter cone is built up to 95ft so far. The rate of advancement of the flow front has slowed to moving less than 20 ft/hr and 1.8 miles from Saddle Road (DKI), by USGS-HVO's latest field measurements.
