130 New Cases of COVID-19 in the state, Dec 18th
10:09 PM · Dec 18, 20207 new cases on island via Hawaii DoH. There have been a total of 1,763 (+7) confirmed cases on Hawaiʻi Island according to DoH. There has been 147 cases on island in the last two weeks. 3 currently hospitalized on the island (HCCD). Hawaii Island Deaths Total: 50 (+1) – "7 community at the Hilo Medical Center, 4 community at the Kona Community Hospital, 10 from Life Care Center, per their website, 27 from the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home." (HMC, Life Care Center). Two fatalities are outstanding from classification. 7-day average on test positivity on island is at 1.8%, the state's positivity rate is now at 2.7%. On Tuesday, (12.15.20) there were 962 tests processed on island. 1,156 passenger arrivals on island Dec 15th. The most passenger arrivals since March so far is 1,475 on Nov 21st, arrivals had a bump in the week before Thanksgiving, but has returned to levels closer to levels slightly elevated from when the Oct 15th pre-travel screening program began. STATE STATS: Total Cases Statewide: 19,859* (+130 today) Cases in the past 14 days: 1,489 Total Hospitalizations: 1,394 (+12) Total Deaths: 281 (+1) NOTE: Dept of Health on Big Island are at least a 1 month behind in processing deaths. DoH now lists 44 deaths of 50 reported by HCCD.
