Situation Improves Significantly - Mana Road Fire Update, Aug 3, 2021

As such, the fire has been downgraded from an emergency situation to a normal fire operation by the county of Hawaii. - 75% containment - All public roads are open - Evacuations lifted - County is conducting damage assessments - Western edge of the fire is not longer threatening homes - Eastern edge has fire activity but is uninhabited, helicopter drops continue - Parker Ranch estimates a loss of roughly 100 animals, but thousands were saved by Paniolo - Air quality monitoring around west Hawaii shows fine particulate matter (PM2.5) has returned to "Green" levels; "air pollution poses little or no risk." ~ PurpleAir Video from Pohakuloa Training Area and 25th Combat Aviation Brigade
